Has anything bad ever happened to you that turned out to be for the best?

Responses:

• I got fired from Waldbaums supermarket when I was 17 -- saved me from a life as a cashier. I'm blessed, really. There have been setbacks in my life, and bad times -- but nothing that in and of itself changed my course. My reactions to them are what changed my life.
• Constant fighting with my parents, which led me to leave TU
