Day 97: April 7, 2009

Question 2:
Would you rather meet your great great grandparents or your great great grandchildren? Why?

Responses:
  • I don’t have any kids so by default it would have to be my great great grandparents and I would love hearing about my family’s history– but, just from a scientific perspective, should they in the future perfect cryogenic reanimation – I think it is fascinating to consider that people could be unfrozen and then personally meet their surviving progeny.
  • Grandchildren. I would want to learn anything I could to avoid screwing up my lineage.
  • I would want to meet my great great grandparents. I don't know anything about them and I want to know if they are anything like me. I wonder if they have bad teeth and eyes. I wonder if my great great grandmother is overbearing and abrasive like my mother. I wonder if my great great grandfather is calm like my father.
  • Great great grandparents. Not sure why.

Song:
Heartbroke, by Good Life

Lyrics:
You stop stopping by to say hello
You started starting up each time I phone
I only call when I get the blues
You think at least I could turn to you
But I'm sure your heart is breaking too

It's getting better every day
I still reserve the right to complain to you
That being said I rarely do
You left me with nothing left to lose
But I'm sure your heart is breaking too

I see you find the way to pass the time
"You'd like him, he's a lot like you"
I didn't see you getting saddled up so soon
"Babe, I know you'll find somebody too"
Maybe another week to recoup
"It's never easy but I'm sure we'll make it through"
Yeah, I'm sure your heart is breaking too

I can't imagine how hard it's been
On second thought you don't seem to give a shit
The claim will pain but where's the bruise?
Yeah, I'm sure your heart is breaking too
