Day 6: January 6, 2009

Question 141:

Which season would you eliminate? Why? (remember: eliminating a season would also eliminate all the holidays within that season)

Responses:
  • My love for each season’s distinct weather and beauty, and my partiality for or against certain holidays would be at odds and prevent the elimination of any whole season. The only holiday I really dislike is Halloween, but fall contains one of my favorites – Thanksgiving.
  • Winter. Wouldn't much miss the holidays, but I'd have to pick new dates to celebrate some important birthdays m- including my own and my childrens! I don't like the extreme cold; I don't take advantage of the outdoor sports of winter, I don't like being in heavy clothes for so long. Could I just short the season instead of completely eliminating it? :>)
  • Winter. Eliminating Christmas would be awesome.

Song:
Into the Mystic, by Van Morrison

Lyrics:

We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
Ere the bonnie boat was won as we sailed into the mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic

And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home
And when that fog horn blows I want to hear it
I don't have to fear it
I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
Then magnificently we will float into the mystic
And when that fog horn blows you know I will be coming home
And when thst fog horn whistle blows I got to hear it
I don't have to fear it
I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And together we will float into the mystic
Come on girl...
