Day 42: February 11, 2009

Question 158:
You're about to move into an apartment with extremely thin walls. Pick your neighbor: a bass player, a sex addict, or a parrot breeder. Explain.

Responses:
  • A bass player. Depending on skill level, this person would likely play at live shows and practice or record in a studio. That means I would not have to actually hear them play, whereas a sex addict and a parrot breeder are more likely to take their business home with them. With the bass player, I could always ask him or her to not play within the hours that I would be most bothered by it (sleeping would be one) while with the sex addict and parrot breeder, there is really nothing I can say to quiet things down.
  • Sex addict. Fun to listen to. At times.

Song:
Home, by Jeff Black

Lyrics:
i feel the lights of town fade
i traded out the retrograde
i don't have much
but for what i've saved
now i'm headed home

wind is whistling through the wing
no radio so i sing
yesterday feels like a dream
now i'm headed home

rolling through
the dark of night
no one in sight
this time i am flying
wheels above the ground
the only sound is me
living now
not dying

i love a girl who brings good news
the color of her eyes are changing blues
one true kiss i can't refuse
now i'm on my way

sending out my signal flare
god, thank you for my answered prayer
keep her safe until i get there
now i'm headed home
